Largest telecom Public Sector Unit Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has announced the launch of its Mobile Wallet services for 100 million customers across the country.
BSNL’s mobile wallet services enable its users for payment of bills, online recharge, book train, bus tickets, shopping etc. and able to use the digital wallet at over 1.5 million merchants across India.
In a statement Telecom Minister Manoj Sinha said, ‘With this co-branded wallet, the ease of payment will be extended to all the customers while equally strengthening financial inclusion in the rural and hinterlands, which often get neglected’.
As per latest information from BSNL official sources, the digital payment wallet service is developed and maintained by MobiKwik India for BSNL. Telecom PSU intent is to take its mobile wallet to semi-urban and rural customers across India for digital payment.
