India has developed its own indigenous Indian 5G technology. 5G is the next generation of connectivity means. Indian Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said on Thursday that India can now supply 5G to other nations. According to a HindustanTimes report, Sitharaman said: "The 5G we launched in our country is completely independent."
The finance minister also said there are some critical or fundamental components that are imported from South Korea but nowhere else. Obviously, he referred to not relying on China or Europe for technology.
Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched 5G in the country on October 1, 2022, during the first day of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2022. Mail that telecom companies, including Airtel and Jio, have started offering services 5G in various cities What is worth noting here is that the government-owned C-DoT (Center for the Development of Telematics) had introduced a native 5G core.
