Fair use policy (FUP) internet data usage offered with MTNL broadband plans that required users to opt for another Internet Service Provider (ISP) such as Airtel Xstream Fiber, JioFiber, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Bharat Fiber.
Public Telecommunications company Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited - MTNL is now offering users more data with its broadband plans. The company offered Very Less Fair Usage Policy (FUP) data with broadband plans, forcing users to turn to other Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as Airtel Xstream Fiber, JioFiber, and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Bharat fiber.
However, the telecom operator has recently increased the FUP data offered to users with broadband plans in Mumbai. Let's take a look at the total FUP data that users now get with different plans.
MTNL broadband plans that offer more FUP internet data usage
MTNL now offers up to 4TB of FUP data with its broadband plans. The two main plans offered by the company in Mumbai are 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps plans. There is an Rs 600 plan for speeds of 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps. This plan offers users 600GB of data (50 Mbps plan) and 500GB of data (100 Mbps plan). Users also get 150 free calls from the company and a speed of 2 Mbps after consuming FUP data.
So, with the Rs 800 plan, users will now receive 1,000GB of FUP data (50 Mbps plan) and 900GB of FUP data (100 Mbps plan). There is an added benefit of 200 calls. Once the FUP data is consumed, the speed drops to 2 Mbps.
With the Rs 1,000 plan, users get 1,500 GB of FUP data (50 Mbps plan) and 1,400 GB of FUP data (100 Mbps plan). The benefit increases to 300 calls with this plan and the speed for the user returns to 2 Mbps once the FUP data is consumed.
There are three more plans coming up for Rs 1,200, Rs 1,500 and Rs 2,000. For Rs 1,200, the FUP data offered with the 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps plan are 2,000 GB and 1,900 GB of FUP data, respectively. Users can receive 500 free calls from the company. Internet speed drops to 2 Mbps after FUP data is consumed.
For Rs 1,500, the 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps plan includes 2,800 GB and 2,700 GB FUP data. The advantage of voice calls remains the same at 500 calls. Internet speed after FUP data consumption is 2Mbps.
Finally, with the company's most expensive Rs 2,000 plan, users get 4,000GB (4TB) and 3,900GB of data with the 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps plans. There is no limit to the number of calls you can make. a user and the speed will be back to 2Mbps once the FUP data is consumed.
