Vodafone's idea now competes with JioFiber and announces new broadband plans for internet users.
Leading private telecommunications Vodafone Idea (VI) has announced new broadband plans, which will give direct competition to JioFiber. In fact, not only JioFiber, but the company will also challenge Airtel Xstream Fiber, Excitel Broadband and some other private Internet Service Providers (ISPs) from India with their new plans.
It offers its fiber broadband services to you through its affiliate You Broadband. Exclusively, a source told TelecomTalk that Vodafone Idea would announce new fiber broadband plans for the Ahmedabad club. These broadband plans will available between 30 Mbps to 200 Mbps.
The company already offers broadband plans up to 200 Mbps in Ahmedabad. But these new plans will have updated benefits and a new price. Let's take a look at what's new.
Vodafone idea fiber plans for Ahmedabad
The company will launch a total of 5 new plans in the Ahmedabad circle. These five plans will have speeds of 30, 50, 75, 100 and 200 Mbps. All plans will be available for 30 days (1 month), 90 days (3 months), 180 days (6 months) and 360 days (12 months) or 1 year).
Broadband users who opt for long-term plans will receive free services for certain days. Users who opt for the 90-day plan will receive 5 days for free. At the same time, with the 180-day plan, the company offers 10 days of free service and with the 360-day plan, users will receive 30 days of free service.
It is worth noting that JioFiber also offers its users 30 days of free service when they opt for the annual plans. Not only JioFiber, but Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is also offering users a free month of service when they opt for their annual 300 Mbps Bharat Fiber broadband plan.

Prices of the new broadband plans and other details
All of the above-mentioned plans will come with 3.5TB or 3,500GB of Fair Use Policy (FUP) data, which is more than what users of JioFiber, Airtel Xstream Fiber, and BSNL Bharat Fiber get. Please note that all of the above prices include GST.
Excluding GST, broadband users can get the 100 Mbps plan for a monthly cost of Rs 700, which is cheaper than Airtel Xstream Fiber's 100 Mbps plan and matches the price of JioFiber's 100 Mbps plan.
Up until now, in the same circle, You Broadband offered the same 100 Mbps plan for Rs 879 (tax included) and only offered 900 GB of data. Basically, with the new plans, You Broadband not only lowered the price of their offerings, but also increased the benefits they had.
As the above-mentioned plans include GST, they are as good as the broadband plans offered by the other major private ISPs in India. The only thing missing from these plans at the moment is the over-the-top benefits (OTT).
Regardless, this is a good step up from Vodafone Idea, as the company has offered outdated plans until now. We hope the company will soon begin offering these new plans in other environments as well.
