Jio 749 plan offers Unlimited benefits for 12 months, but the big question is: should I recharge?
Reliance Jio has introduced a new Rs 749 plan for existing JioPhone customers along with two plans for new JioPhone users.
The largest telecom operator in the country with over 400 million users behind it also said that JioPone's subscriber base reached 100 million in just over three years.
The telecom company is also initiating a new movement called "2G-MUKT BHARAT", under which it aims to convert all feature phone users of rival telecom companies into JioPhone users. And to attract new users, Jio came up with two plans of Rs 1,999 and Rs 1,499.

Prepaid Jio 749 plan: detailed benefits
Before we discuss the offer, let's first take a look at the benefits Reliance Jio offers. With the Rs 749 plan, JioPhone users will receive unlimited voice calls with no FUP limit, along with 2GB of high-speed data every month.
The plan is valid for 12 months. The plan may also offer SMS benefits on a monthly basis, but the telecom company has yet to disclose this benefit. Since the offer is effective March 1st, Reliance Jio revealed the benefits that Users will also have free access to Jio apps like JioTV, JioCinema, etc.
Jio 749 plan for JioPhone users: breakdown of the offer
So Reliance Jio offers 2GB of data per month with the Jio 749 plan. JioPhone users can recharge all-in-one plans for Rs 75, Rs 125, Rs 155, and Rs 185. On recharge of Jio 749 prepaid plan the subscriber will get the benefits of 2GB of high-speed data every month.
The Rs 75 JioPhone All-in-One plan comes with 3GB of data and 28 days of validity. Previously, Jio provided a JioPhone Rs 49 plan that offered 2GB of 4G data for 28 days. As the Rs 49 plan is no longer available, we are considering the Rs 75 All-in-One plan for this comparison.
For one year, JioPhone users will have to recharge the Rs 75 plan 13 times because the plan is valid for only 28 days. This means that the price, when recharged individually, will cost Rs 975, while the Rs 749 plan offers benefits for one year. The only difference is the 2GB data benefit with the new Rs 749 plan.
In all respects, the Rs 749 plan for JioPhone users is an inexpensive option. New JioPhone users can get the same plan for one year for Rs 1,499 and Rs 1,999 for two years. The only difference is that new users get JioPhone for free. The company will include the original JioPhone released in 2017 and not the JioPhone 2.
