In addition to the Rs 1,499 prepaid plan, BSNL also has the Rs 1,999 annual recharge which comes with 3GB of data per day with valid for 365 days.
BSNL introduced the prepaid annual plan of Rs 1,499 a few months ago in various circles across the country. BSNL plan voucher 1499 offers on the similarly priced prepaid plans of private telecom companies.
For example, both Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel currently offer Rs 1,499 with a validity of 365 days. So BSNL's 1,499 prepaid plan is here to challenge the same. When BSNL launched the plan in month of August 2020, it offered 395-day benefits as part of a promotional prepaid offer.
However, the promotional offer is no longer valid and the plan duration is reduced to 365 days. BSNL's Rs 1,499 prepaid plan offers 24GB of data and the benefit of unlimited voice calling.
BSNL prepaid plan Rs 1,499: revised validity
BSNL has two annual plans which are being offered right now priced at Rs 1499 and Rs 1,999. As mentioned above, the Rs 1,499 prepaid plan was valid for 395 days (One year plus extra validity), but has now been reduced to 365 days. Still, it's a very decent plan, but BSNL is always known for offering better prepaid plans than private telecom companies and that's not the case with this annual plan.
The plan includes an unlimited voice call benefit limited to 250 minutes per day as per fair usage policy limit (BSNL and Other the network). After 250 minutes, calls will be charged at the base plan tariff. It also comes with the benefit of 24GB of data and there is also a benefit of 100 SMS per day.
The existing customers of BSNL can recharge this plan from the BSNL official website portal.bsnl.co.in or if you've sufficient balance above Rs.1500 then you can send a text message "PLAN(space)BSNL1499" to 123 from your registered BSNL number. The plan is also available to recharge via third party portals such as Paytm, Amazon recharge and PhonePe.
In addition to the Rs 1,499 prepaid plan, BSNL also has the Rs 1,999 annual recharge which comes with 3GB of data per day, valid for 365 days, 100 SMS per day, and unlimited voice calls with a limit of 250 minutes per day following fair usage policy limit. The Rs 1,999 recharge plan also has the advantage of Eros Now under its belt.
However, Rs 1,499 does not offer the Eros Now advantage.
Airtel has a prepaid plan of Rs 1,498 and Vi has a prepaid plan of Rs 1,499 which comes with the same benefits of 24GB of data, truly unlimited voice calls and 3600 SMS for the entire 365 day period.
