It allows a user to switch from one service provider to another regardless of the geographic region in which they currently reside. The first way is to visit a Jio shop. When you do, request CAF or the migration of your number from prepaid to postpaid or vice versa. You must bring your identity card and 2 photographs for verification. You will be provided with a user request form that you can fill out and within 3-7 days your request will be fulfilled.

Another way to jio prepaid to postpaid conversion by visiting the telecom operator's website and share your contact details. You will receive an OTP which you will need to use for verification. Once verified, you can proceed to transfer your prepaid number from Jio to postpaid i.e change prepaid to postpaid jio. There is also a way to transfer your number using the SMS service. You just have to enter PORT followed by your phone number and send the SMS to the central portability number of TRAI - 1900. After completing the form, log into the service center of the operator of your choice and complete the KYC verification process. In case a payment is required, you will need to do it at the point of sale of a new SIM card.

However, there are certain reasons to remember. If you wish to switch from postpaid to prepaid within a telecom operator or outside your current telecom operator, you must first settle the outstanding fees.

In addition, there is also a way in which a subscriber can cancel the transfer request. The user can send an SMS to the same 1900 number mentioning CANCEL followed by the 10-digit number that was entered in the transfer request earlier. The cancellation request must be made within 24 hours of sending the transfer request.
