The Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS), an organization associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), has said that it will launch a nationwide movement on June 10 against the government's aggressive privatization campaign.
In a statement, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh said that the government is justifying the privatization of public sector undertakings (PSUs) by saying that there is a huge need for money to run the government machinery.
The Indian Labor Organization said, 'The government has no moral right to sell the national property created by its predecessors. BMS said that until the government stops anti-public sector and anti-labor decisions, it is committed to fight against it.
BMS will launch a nationwide movement on 10 June 2020 under the banner 'Save Public Sector, Save India'.
After discussions with BMS unions from various organizations was attended by representatives of BMS organizations in sectors like coal, non-coal, defense, railways, postal, banking, insurance, steel, maritime sectors and telecom, electricity, heavy engineering, oil and gas, aviation, chemicals, currency and coins, nuclear power etc., public sector undertakings.
In protest against the move by the central government to various names in various sectors such as commercialization of the coal sector, corporation of Defense Ordnance Factory Board and Railways, strategic sale of PSUs, merger and privatization of banks, aggressively privatization in raising FDI limits.
This meeting was held to decide the plan of action of BMS and to make arrangement for nationwide movement on 10 June 2020 under the banner 'Save Public Sector, Save India'.
