JioFiber will offer "top tier" CPE only to those who pay Rs 3,500 as a security deposit.
Jio Fiber Internet users with renewed plans will be limited to 1 Mbps upon reaching the assigned data limits, Reliance Jio noted in its modified terms and conditions. On August 31, 2020, the company renewed its JioFiber plans with "truly unlimited" data. JioFiber's refurbished plans are priced between Rs 399 and Rs 8499 with Reliance Jio noting that the plans offer symmetrical speeds.
While the company initially identified the plans as "truly unlimited," it later emerged that JioFiber's revamped plans had a commercial use policy of 3300GB or 3.3TB.
Jio fibernet users will be limited to 1 Mbps upon reaching data limit
The company noted that users on "truly unlimited" plans will be limited to 1 Mbps upon reaching their assigned data limits.
Reliance Jio said its plans are "for personal use only" and that the company "reserves the right to discontinue the benefits of free voice and unlimited data."
Additionally, the company said that users who signed up for Jio Fiber connection between August 15, 2020 and August 31, 2020 will receive a one-month trial period. Reliance Jio said Jio-Fiber users who are eligible for the trial period will be offered "redeemable coupon" benefits (jio fiber free data).
Basically, the company said that users who pay Rs 3,500 as a security deposit will be provided with "high-range" Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). However, JioFiber users who pay Rs 1500 as a security deposit are said to be offered "mid-range" CPEs.
Reliance Jio will offer reduced benefits to users during the grace period
Reliance Jio company stated that it "reserves the right to provide plan benefits on a limited basis" to such users within the grace period of up to 30 days. In addition, the company said it "reserves the right to disconnect services" in the event that users do not reload their accounts within 90 days of the last reload date.
