One of the major updates introduced in Google Classroom is the addition of several Indian languages.
Almost all universities and schools have now adopted the online mode of teaching for their students.
The basic goal of the application is to help students and teacher to communicate easily, submit assignments and evaluate them. With a new update, Google has equipped Google Classroom apk with various Indian languages now. This was confirmed by Google in a blog post. There are more features available in the application that you should be aware of.
Google Classroom updated version allows monitoring up to 49 students at a time
One of the biggest challenges for a teacher when teaching is to ensure that the student is not distracted and understands what he is trying to teach. But it gets a bit difficult when the lesson is held through an online platform. But with Google Classroom, the teacher can monitor up to 49 students at a time. The larger tile display with a 7 x 7 grid will allow a total of 49 tiles on the screen.
Additionally, the teacher can use the Jamboard within Meet in case they want students to share their ideas as well. Both the 7 x 7 tile and Jamboard functionality will be integrated with the app in late September.
Along with that, one of the major updates introduced in Google Classroom is the addition of various Indian languages. Bengali, Telugu, Urdu, Marathi, and Tamil have been added to Google Classroom app, but the feature is yet to be released, so users will have to wait a little longer to see more language support.
One of the features most teachers expected to see in Google Classroom is student engagement metrics. It will help teachers and institutions keep track of how much a student is interacting with the online class. Google will bring more features to the Classroom app to make it a better online learning and teaching experience for students and teachers.
