ZEE5 has been a successful streaming platform in India. Despite competition from OTT content platforms such as Netflix, Disney + Hotstar and Amazon Prime Video, ZEE5 has been able to create a single market space for itself.
This happened because the OTT giant was more focused on meeting the needs of Indian streamers by offering "Hindi" based content. A new "ZEE5 Club" subscription plan has been launched for users.
It comes for Rs 365 and it is not a monthly subscription fee, but an annual subscription fee which makes it quite inexpensive.
With the ZEE5 Club subscription, the user will have access to the content in all the languages included in the ZEE5 Premium subscription (12 languages). The advantage of subscribing to this subscription is that users will be able to watch popular TV shows such as "Kumkum Bhagya" and more before being broadcast on TV.
Along with this, there are over 1,000 films included in the ZEE5 Club membership compared to over 4,500 films offered with the ZEE5 Premium membership. Users of this subscription service will also be able to watch more than 90 live TV channels.
ZEE5 Club content can be played on upto 2 screens simultaneously compared to 5 screens with the ZEE5 Premium subscription. In the event that the user wishes to upgrade from the ZEE5 Club to the ZEE5 Premium subscription, they can do so simply by paying the difference in the amount between the two subscriptions.
With the addition of this subscription plan, ZEE5 customers now have five different plans to choose from. Out of the 5 plans, 4 are available with a ZEE5 Premium subscription: Rs 99 (monthly plan), Rs 299 (3-month plan), Rs 599 (6-month plan) and Rs 999 (annual plans). Finally, the ZEE5 Club subscription which will cost Rs 365 per year.
