Bharti Airtel continues to add and remove prepaid plans. Private telecommunications in India, Airtel has removed its prepaid plan Rs 2,398 from its truly unlimited data plan offers. This plan came with 1.5 GB of daily data, unlimited calls, 100 SMS / day and Airtel Thanks benefits.
Airtel seeks to maximize ARPU
Average revenue per user (ARPU) is a metric that every telco takes very seriously. The higher the ARPU, the better. By removing the Rs 2,398 prepaid plan, Bharti Airtel is directing customers to opt for the Rs 2,498 plan if they wish to opt for an annual prepaid plan. With the addition of Rs 100 in recharge, Bharti Airtel will get a higher ARPU from customers who want an annual prepaid plan.It is worth noting that it is still a cheaper plan than Reliance Jio's annual Rs 2,599 prepaid plan which offers 2GB of daily data and other benefits with the same validity as a year.
New best truly unlimited data plan announced
Airtel also offers customers free truly unlimited data plans for certain prepaid plans. The customer will receive "pre-selected" data coupons from airtel. These coupons can be redeemed from the Airtel Thanks app in the "My coupons" section which will be provided to all users.Telco offers two free 1GB data coupon airtel to customers who recharge with plans Rs 219, Rs 249, Rs 279, Rs 298, Rs 349 and Rs 398. Each of the coupons will be valid for 28 days. But customers who top up prepaid plans Rs 399, Rs 449 and Rs 558 will receive four 1gb data coupon airtel, each with a validity of 56 days.
