It has already set up an office in Bangalore and prepared a team of about 80 people. Arora said it would take advantage of the in vivo facilities in Noida and bring phones as part of the 100% Makein India program.
The Indian smartphone segment has seen a boom in the premium segment (over Rs. 30,000). Counterpoint Research said it was 66 percent compared to the same quarter last year.
Out of this, OnePlus (35 percent) topped the list, followed by Samsung (23 percent) and Apple (22 percent).
