Airtel will provide 4G Network to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri
Airtel telecom said it had recently restored network connectivity to Kedarnath as part of its remediation efforts after the devastating floods in June 2013. The network's equipment overcame rugged terrain and harsh weather conditions to ensure connectivity. In the four locations network has strengthened through Uttarakhand.
Bharti Airtel's COO Sanjiv Mishra, COO for UPW said, 'As India’s largest mobile network, we continuously strive to ensure that our customers stay connected wherever they are. Char Dham is a key pilgrimage and Airtel customers visiting these locations will be able to access our services and keep in touch with friends and family'.
As per latest information, Vodafone India also announced that it launched 4G services in Kedarnath, allowing users to use 4G services during the annual Chardham Yatra.
Private telecom companies are reinforcing network coverage in remote places like Kedarnath and the annual Chardham Yatra just around the corner, it's a good time for them to implement the services and publish the same. Airtel offers the network in three technologies: 4G, 3G and 2G. The withdrawal of the network will occur automatically depending on the coverage.
