Public Sector Unit Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) to materialize the concept of ‘Digital India’ of Government of India and as an environment friendly measure, it has been decided to ‘Go Green’ in presenting bills to BSNL customers and give a discount on monthly bills across India.
BSNL launches new discount scheme for Postpaid customer (Landline, Broadband, FTTH, CDMA, Wi-Max, GSM mobile) offering Rs.10/- per connection for having ‘Go Green’ subscription.
Customers need to submit a written consent along with email ID and mobile number to send e-bills through services. To reduce the cost of printing bills and to encourage Digital services has decided for sending e-bills to customers email ID and registered mobile number via SMS. If customer requires printed bill telecom circle decide and charge amount for hard-copy print bill after taking requisite.
A welcome message will be sent to ‘Go Green’ scheme subscribed customers on registered mobile number and email ID (submitted at the time of subscription):
‘Welcome to the go green initiative of BSNL you will be receiving e-bills on email id xxxxx@xxxx and message on mobile number xxxxxxxxxx. Printed bills shall be discontinued as per consent given by you. In case of any mistake, please contact telephone / mobile number xxxxxxxxx within 3 days.”
