India’s second largest DTH operator TataSky enhanced TV packages across the country by upto 10 percent which would vary depending upon the package.
Recently TataSky has MoU with BSNL to offer Video on Demand across the country.
Under Cable digitalization process to compete with other operators TataSky has revised its TV package rates upto 10 percent.
DTH operators through digitalization process helped to double their subscriber base, while customers opts DTH connection for the flexibility than Digital Cable TV connection by Local TV operator.
Companies also introduced lower rate packages ranging from Rs.99 to Rs.199 during this digitalization phase.
The entry level packs like Dhoom became costlier to Rs.199 and one enrolled in the plan have pay extra Rs.20 after hike in package rates.
Simultaneously, mid-level family pack Dhamaal Mix, customer has to pay Rs.270 instead of earlier price of Rs.250 as well South special packs also increased.
