BSNL tiesup with second largest DTH operator by subscriber base across India TataSky to offer Video on demand content to Broadband connection customers.
Public Sector Unit (PSU) Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced strategic agreement with TataSky DTH operator to provide facility of Video on demand services for Broadband customers.
This service can only be availed by BSNL’s 2 crore subscribers and Tatasky which has 11 million subscriber base using HD+ and HD transfer set-top boxes.
Tatasky will approach such eligible subscribers and as promotional entry offer on agreeing to which it will forward the successful leads to BSNL which in turn will do the Broadband installation within 72 hours.
Under this offer BSNL waive off the first month FMC (Fixed monthly charges) of broadband customer as well TataSky will allow the subscriber to download content worth of Rs.500 from its Video on Demand service.
Through this partnership BSNL will gain more number of connections while TataSky can increase in revenue through premium VoD content usage.
