Reliance Jio, India's number one telecom operator, will offer 4G network services in Kedarnath. There are hundreds of thousands of people making the Kedarnath journey every year. Lack of adequate mobile network connectivity was a problem for users participating in the walk. But with Jio's 4G network service, hikers would get seamless mobile network connectivity.
Network service will be available between Kedarnath Shrine and Gaurikund. According to a PTI report, the service was inaugurated by Ajendra Ajay, president of Badrinath-Kedarnath Mandir Samiti.

Jio installed a full capacity tower at Sonprayag, one of the key stops on the Kedarnath trek. In addition, the telecommunications company aims to install five more towers on the route between Gaurikund and the Kedarnath Shrine.
