Vodafone prepaid recharge offers today almost copied what Airtel did in terms of increasing prepaid tariff plans. Even with Vodafone Idea, users will need to spend Rs 719 for the 1.5GB daily data plan for 84 days.
Synopsis
- Vodafone Idea followed Airtel in raising the prepaid tariff plans.
- This is good news for Vodafone Idea investors, as the telecom company will finally be able to get more out of each of its customers.
- The telecommunications company has already benefited from the relief measures that the government announced a few months ago.
As expected, Vodafone Idea followed Airtel in raising prepaid plans tariff. The new tariff plans of prepaid are very similar to those of Airtel and will take effect from 25 November 2021.
Vodafone Idea revised their basic plan from Rs 79 to Rs 99 and the prepaid user will get same tariff benefits as the same Airtel plans of Prepaid. This move by the telecom company is in line with its comments to focus on increasing average revenue per user (ARPU) in the short term. Vi will also offer you their SMS plan starting at Rs 179 after the tariff plan increases go into effect. This means that users cannot exit the telecommunication network if they use a plan that costs less than Rs 179.
Vodafone Idea New prepaid tariff plans after price increase
As previously mentioned, Vodafone Idea almost copied what Airtel did with its prepaid plans. Even with Vodafone Idea, users will need to spend Rs 719 for the 1.5GB daily data plan for 84 days. Selected 4G data coupons will also see the effects of price increases.
This is good news for Vodafone Idea investors, as the telecom company will finally be able to get more out of each of its customers. However, a higher ARPU won't make a difference if the telecom company continues to lose customers in the coming quarters. Vodafone Idea must not only reduce the number of users leaving its network, it must also start adding new ones.
The telecommunications company has already benefited from the relief measures that the government announced a few months ago. You are now finally in a position where you can invest in your networks to increase reach and justify the price increase. The ARPU of Vi could soon reach the limit of Rs 120 - Rs 130 with the help of this increase in prepaid plans tariff.
