Vodafone Idea has announced that the user receives 10 minutes of free voice calls on any Vi mobile number. There is now no specification as to whether the user can call "from" any Vi number to any other operator number or if the free call is only applicable when the user calls "to" a Vi number.
Vodafone Idea (Vi) sends users text messages of approximately 10 minutes of free voice calls they can receive.
However, there is a possibility that this is something specific to the region. One of our community members received the text message from Vi, who lives in the Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh telecommunications circle. According to the text, the telecom operator offers the user 10 minutes of free voice calls for the next 10 days. However, the offer may have a downside.
10 minutes of free voice calls can only be for connecting with Vi numbers
The company in the text states that the user gets 10 minutes of free voice calls on any Vi number. It is now not specified whether the user can call "from" any Vi number to another operator's number or whether toll free is only applicable when the user calls "to" a Vi number.
However, the 10 minutes of free calls are provided by Vodafone Idea (VI), which is a good thing given the pandemic situation in the country. People who don't know how to recharge online or can barely go out to meet their regular provider can now relax for a few more days and make important calls without worrying about not charging.
If you have not received the free 10 minute voucher for voice calls from the telco, it could mean that it is for selected users. However, this is not the only thing Vi is doing for users to help them with the pandemic.

It also offers its Rs 49 package for free to its low income customers in the country. Additionally, the company is doubling down on the benefits of the Rs 79 package so that the user doesn't face any shortage of minutes or data when trying to connect with loved ones.
With the free package of Rs 49, Vi users will be able to enjoy regular benefits of the plan, which include Rs 38 of talk time and 100MB of data for 28 days. The Rs 79 package, on the other hand, now offers double benefits which are Rs 128 in conversation and 200MB of data for 28 days.
