If customer provided email ID is valid, the telecom company in India Airtel will send an auto SMS from 121 to confirm the process. Reply to the email with "1" within 60 seconds to confirm the airtel eSIM activation request. If your email ID is invalid, Airtel will offer assistance and restart the eSIM activation process for users.
After confirming the eSIM request, Airtel officials will request a telephone conversation to obtain final consent and provide QR code information.
After successful confirmation and consent process, users mobile airtel will receive automatically system based secure QR code on their valid email ID. Once users scan the QR code, it will take nearly 2 hours to activate the eSIM. However, if users have a physical SIM card inserted, they will be able to use the services during the activation period.
How to to scan a QR code for Airtel eSIM card activation
To scan the received QR code on a valid email address, open the settings on your device and connect to a Wi-Fi network. After connecting to a Wi-Fi network, click on the mobile network and go to the advanced option.
In advanced settings, click add operator and scan the QR code. After scanning the code, click on the download button and finish the process.
