Public Telecommunications in India Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL facilitating 4G network services in two major cities of Chattisgarh, namely Bilaspur and Korba.
PSU BSNL has started services for 4G network coverage in two cities of Chattisgarh. According to a news report from BSNL TARIFF website and BSNL_Chattisgarh's Twitter account, Bilaspur and Korba, two major cities in the state have started receiving 4G services from BSNL.
The tweet mentions that other places will soon have 4G network too. This is a good sign for BSNL users living in the Chattisgarh towns of Bilaspur and Korba, as they will now be able to access faster download speeds from the state-owned telecoms company's network; more details on the story to come.
BSNL 4G will soon arrive in other cities and states
BSNL will soon extend 4G services to other Chattisgarh cities and also other states of India. Something worth noting here is that state telecoms will use local equipment and technology to build and expand their 4G network in India.
According to a Hindu Businessline report, this move is said to help Indian telecommunications technology and infrastructure companies make a boon of around Rs 50 billion. Furthermore, it would put India in a position to export not only 4G, but 5G technologies as well.
Leading Indian technology companies such as Tech Mahindra, Tata Telecom Services (TCS), Sterlite Technologies, ITI Ltd, Telecommunications Consultants India Ltd and Paramount Communications could offer 4G solutions and expand their service portfolio. These companies will also offer completely indigenous telecommunications equipment and solutions.
The Telecommunications Equipment Manufacturers Association of India (TEMA), India's oldest telecommunications body, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi stating that BSNL's acquisition of 4G equipment and solutions nationwide would lay the groundwork for the country you also develop internal 5G.
Ravi Sharma, president of TEMA, said any further 4G delay for BSNL would not be good for the operator. He said BSNL should be able to acquire 4G immediately and expand as quickly as possible.
Launching 4G services in two small towns across the country is a promising move by BSNL. To attract more users and at the same time retain their subscribers, the telecommunications company has launched an offer for the Republic Day.
For a limited time until January 31, 2021, BSNL's PV 1999, valid for 365 days, will be valid for an additional 21 days and will offer users 3GB of daily data along with 100 SMS / day, unlimited subscription voice calls and free at Eros Now.
