As per latest information, Reliance collecting Rs.1500 as deposit for to avoid misuse of the free service while JioPhone would come at cost Rs.0. The company is charging a fully refundable deposit of Rs.1500 after three years.
JioPhone pre-orders will start commencing from 24th August, 2017 onwards and will be up sale from September, 2017 (The exact sale date and where to preorder is not yet revealed by the company). The company is going to make five million units available every week and might be made available for beta testing from 15th August.
