New telecom entrant in India Reliance Jio has announced to launch its Fiber Broadband services by end of September, 2017 or Deepavali across India to offer 100GB free data usage at Rs.500 only.
Reliance Jio infocomm plans to introduce new fiber based plans which base plan starts offering hundred GB free data usage at Rs.500. As per Times report, JioFiber’s is going to compete with major broadband service providers Bharati Airtel, BSNL are large fixed line home broadband services. Jio will also competing with state players like ACT Fibernet, Hathway, Spectranet and Tikona among other that offer services in certain telecom circles or areas.
After this announcement Bharati Airtel has started offering extra data usage to its existing customers offering 1000GB free broadband data to customers on selected plans under ‘Bonus scheme’. Now Airtel has started offering this more data usage to its broadband subscribers in Delhi (NCR) region under broadband segment.
JioFiber on pilot project basis to introduce Preview offer in select areas of Mumbai, Delhi-NCR, Ahmedabad, Jamnagar, Surat and Vadodara and expand trial offer beyond the few cities where it is currently available, as reported.
