Government of Delhi (Aam Admi Party) finally has decided to offer Free WiFi and FTTH (Fiber to the Home) services to all the people of Delhi residents in this calendar year.
As per the latest information, Kejriwal government officially announced that the free WiFi service will start in association with PWC consultancy for the East Delhi residents before the end of this calendar year in the first phase. Shortly RFPs inviting companies to setup one thousand public hotspots across 571 identified areas of Delhi East zone. Whereas, the Delhi government will install around 3000 WiFi hotspots and another 3000 will setup in next phase under pilot project basis.
On social media Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal tweeted ‘Fiber optic network in the whole of Delhi upto your home. This is a big decision by Delhi government. Congrats Delhi.
In addition Delhi residents also be provided high speed and quality internet services at home through fiber network i.e FTTH services.
