BSNL launched 3G services in 29 towns and cities of J&K, without video facility.
CGM BSNL J&K Circle, told reporters that they were waiting for security clearance from Government of India for launch of video service.
While private telecom operator Bharti Airtel started 3G services in the state in June this year.
Reliance Communications (RIM) launched the service in February 2011.
The PSU BSNL is providing employment to 2675 people in the state. "There are more than 1000 employees in Kashmir division and rest in Jammu division. 22,000 people get indirect employment through BSNL. The 22,000 people include those who are working as franchisees of the BSNL and maintain towers," Koul said.
