Note that this is not the first time that BSNL has offered the Rs 499 broadband plan to customers. But this wasn't available for some time. The Rs 499 plan currently offers 40 Mbps internet speed with up to 3.3TB of FUP data, along with unlimited voice calling. In addition to the FUP data consumption, the speed is reduced to 4 Mbps. Users also get a 90% discount up to Rs 500 on the first month's rent.

The benefits of the Rs 449 NEO basic fiber broadband plan are the same as before. Users get an internet speed of 30 Mbps with up to 3.3 TB of monthly FUP data, and the speed drops to 4 Mbps after consuming FUP data. Users also get unlimited calling and a 90% discount up to Rs 500 on their first month bill.
In another major development, BSNL will soon discontinue the Rs 775 and Rs 275 bsnl special tariff plans. The phasing out date for these plans is November 15, 2022. The company introduced both plans as a promotional offer during the 75th day of the 'independence.
