Currently, users can open a WhatsApp account on a smartphone, as well as three additional devices, including desktops and laptops. However, users cannot open the same account on more than one smartphone. Users have complained that it is difficult to use WhatsApp on various mobile phones. Support for Companion devices is not a recent addition. Telegram has had it for years. The Internet Messaging Service can be used simultaneously on multiple mobile phones with the same account.
