State run giant Telecom network Company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced that 'It will no longer accept Telephone bill payments made through popular recharge website / e-payment portal 'PAYTM'.
If customers attracted to get discounts/chash back offers on PAYTM portal on payment of Telephone bills then they have to face disconnection for non-payment of dues.
As per latest information BSNL's Chief General Manager (Kerala) L Anantharam clarified said that, 'PAYTM is not authorized partner or have any agreement with them to receive bills through their gateway, Hence, the payments made throug Paytm banned and the link operating on Paytm will be removed and necessary instructions may issued to that company for refunding of amount paid by the customers already paid through paytm portal'.
Kerala CGM also added that, 'The amount paid by customers do not get credited to the BSNL account and the customers who have already paid bills online through paytm gateway have faced disconnection of their connection'.
However, as a 'One time goodwill measure' BSNL will re-connect phones its poratl in within the next three days. Customers will have to produce the receipsts of payment through paytm to avail themselves of this facility.
BSNL's advice for its customers to make payment of bills online use BSNL PORTAL for all online services such as payment of bills or mobile recharges.
